Civil Disobedience (2018)

An illegal public space intervention made for In De Ruimte, an exhibition space in Ledeberg, Ghent. An exact 1:1 copy of the iconic red door of In De Ruimte was placed around the entrance of the empty OTC building (neighbours to In De Ruimte). Some would say this action is in contrast with squatting a place. Instead of changing the locks of an empty building and claiming the inside (closing yourself from the public) De Haan changed the look of the building and claimed the outside as a part of the exhibition space In De Ruimte. This intervention was part of the exhibition 'Civil Disobedience' curated by Adriënne van der Werf and Robert Monchen.
