Metro Station Eekteweg (2018)
polystrene, wood, stainless steel, acrylic paint, varnish, bike, stickers, lights and dummy camera
460 x 445 x 280 cm |
Made out of various replicated elements of existing metro stations in the Netherlands' largest cities, this sculpture presents the open landscape around the Eekteweg as a place that seems easy to reach by public transport. Eekteweg is a road crossing trough a typical Dutch countryside landscape a few kilometres away from the small town Haarle in the municipality of Hellendoorn, more than 100 kilometres away from the nearest metro station.
