This work resulted out of holiday to Israel, where mud is one of the country's main touristic attractions. Unlike the mud back home in the Netherlands, Dead Sea mud is both full of healthy minerals and very controversial. Apart from those two characteristic elements, which causes many people to either buy it or protest against it, Dead Sea mud can also just be mud. Like the mud on the side of the road next to De Haan's workshop.
