Unconscious Performers (2020)

Willem de Haan wrote four short movie scripts for specific daily situations, like waiting for a traffic light or taking a run in the late afternoon. These scripts were presented on the locations that match the situations, printed on a relatively big billboard. While the billboard was present on location, the fictional script at some moments seemed to blend with the daily reality around it; framing one's daily life as a scripted performance. At UNFAIR, a temporary museum in the Westergasfabriek, three photographs of scripts on location are shown. The fourth script was written especially for the context of the temporary museum and is accompanied by a prop.
